I like the idea of this picture you could of blended a little better but a good idea. A thing you should watch out for is the rule of thirds the light is right in the middle the picture looks good but you have to watch out for that or else your only drawing there eye to that point and you should of made the light post your top layer making it more of the focal point instead of layering it like you did.
I like you pictures. This is a great idea. I like how you didn't put much color into it because in the winter you only see white.
