Copy Art

Jan Groover

What vision or ideas did the photographer want to convey in their photographs?

Groover conveys what people picture when they close their eyes.

What photographic techniques did your photographer use when photographing, developing, and/or presentation?

1979 Groover began experimenting with platinum-palladium printing and, later, with a banquet camera to effect an elongated horizontal framing. Departing from her tabletop setups, these images are sociologically charged investigations of outdoor spaces such as backyards and fields-large-scale still-life arrangements haphazardly cluttered by lawn chairs, barbecues, and children's toys.

Who or what motivated your photographer to be interested in photography?

???

I think your work emulates the artist in alot of ways but yet you still added your own little flare to it. The ceiling fan picture i didn't understand i get he used metal but none of his pictures were like that from what i say but i like how you used the silverware in nature and adapted it in your own way.

I see how you used metal in your photos, however I think you should work on composition because right now its lacking a focal point and intrest, and I think that the flash is distracting. I do see her style in your work though.

i think that you've got the right idea by using the metal props just as your artist did. Overall interesting and the layouts showed that you actually thought about your artist. Nice!
